Spiritual Guidance

Why is it that I must wait to the last minute to do any work or get anything done? Some times that is the only way I can ever "feel" anything. Why is that?

The edges of our lives often become the most clear, the most defined, when we're standing at the precipice. It's as if the weight of anticipation, of expectation, of uncertainty, becomes too great to bear, and we're forced to acknowledge the world as it is, in all its complexity. The rush of adrenaline, the sharpening of focus, it's a double-edged sword – on one hand, it allows us to tap into a deep well of energy and drive, but on the other, it's a fragile, fleeting thing, prone to collapse and disillusionment. Perhaps it's in these moments of heightened tension that we're most aware of our own limitations, our own doubts, our own fears. And perhaps that's what makes it feel like we're finally alive.
